:)

My boyfriend and I just celebrated our two year anniversary, which is very exciting.
Today he left to go to Mexico for a week and I'm going to miss him a lot!

I am 16 years old and it scares me to know that so many of my peers- and even elders are not even remotely aware of the issue of Net Neutrality, or what it means for the future of our country. That is why I have made it my goal to inform as many people as I can on this issue.

I wrote my congressmen last night:

The internet is THE last true forum of expressing our selves and it represents the highest form of freedom of speech. Radio is no longer accessible to the public, television never truly has been, and now our rights on the internet are slowly fading away. And hardly anyone is taking notice...
-----------

So many people don't know about net neutrality and it's slow demise.
Even kids who are supposed to be up to date with whats going on-- the kids in Speech and Debate. hahaha. In Student Congress- no one had anything to say about my speech on net neutrality, and one girl was open about how she didn't know what it was.
People's reaction to me explaining is- "Wait- they could take away Myspace?!"
*facepalm*
Its sad, but I guess if that's what gets the message across- so be it!
